brand gap book

Branding can be approached in many different ways and thousands of books can be written about it... The Brand Gap & Zag seems to have accomplished the impossible by condensing with illustrated examples, metaphores and white board approach the most important and determinant aspects of building a brand.

The Brand Gap introduce you to the alchemy of branding making a point to join the 'right brain' and the 'left brain' to achieve grace and efficiency in a brand effort.

Zag follows the principles display in the brand gap and apply it to a case study. 2 smart short books deserving your attention.

empire of sogns

Empire of Signs written by the French semiologist/philosopher Roland Barthes use Japan as a playground to interpret a totally foreign and exotic environment during a visit in Tokyo using a semiotic approach. Semiology (the science of interpreting signs) is among my personal toolbox to merge different cultural codes and develop a brand theme capable to 'dialogue' across borders.
